Monkey Bread!!

4 tubes of biscuits
½ C. Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tblsp. Water
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 ½ sticks margarine
½ C. Karo syrup, white
½ C. Brown sugar
1 C. Chopped pecans
Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces with scissors. Mix ½ c. sugar and 1 tsp. Cinnamon together in bowl. Roll each biscuit piece in sugar and cinnamon mixture and place in greased bundt pan. To make sauce: Place remaining ingredients (except nuts) in saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from burner and stir in nuts. Pour hot sauce over biscuits in cake pan. You can sprinkle extra chopped pecans over the top if you want.
Bake at 350 for 30 - 35 min. When done flip over on serving plate and lift cake pan off. Let cool slightly (but not too long) before serving. Note: If you do not have Karo syrup - you can either substitute pancake syrup or else use all brown sugar - just increase the amount to 1 cup instead of ½ cup. This is just as good as the other sauce recipe. I have used both substitutes and they are equally good.
For the muffins: Spray your muffin pan and a cookie sheet w/ Pam. You put 5 cinnamon/sugar covered dough balls into each muffin cup. Pour 1/8 cup of the syrup over them and bake at same temp for about 12 - 15 minutes. As soon as they are done, remove them from the oven and flip them over on the cookie sheet. These are so good w/ a slice of butter melted over the top! WOW!

Strawberry Cream Cheese Cookies

2 3/4 cups flour
1 cup butter
3 oz. cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Strawberry preserves (or your favorite)

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together. Stir in the rest of the ingredients to make the dough. Chill over night or longer. Roll out the dough very thin and cut out cookies. I like to use a 2 1/2 inch flower cutter. Bake at 325 degrees about 8 minutes. The cookies should be just set but not browned. When the cookies are baked heat some preserves in a small pot on the stove until liquidy. Place several cookies on sheet of wax paper then drop a dollop of the preserves on top of the cookie then cover with another. Press down to spread the preserves evenly between the cookies. Allow to cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Always Remember!!!

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But don't forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.

Always remember to forget
The troubles that have passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

The Meaning of the Snowman!!!!!

The white snow stands for the purity
Of souls filled with God's grace.
The circular snowballs represent
God's everlasting love.

The pieces of coal used to
Make the eyes, mouth and buttons
Symbolize God's Almighty power.

The carrot nose reminds us that
God gives us everything
We need to live and grow.

The scarf suggests the warmth
Of God's tender care.

The top hat reminds us always to
Keep faith our top priority.

The arms are outstretched to us,
As God's always are.

The broom made of straw and wood
Signifies that Jesus was born
And died to cleanse us of sin.

May your heart be ever warmed
By the good news
of God's great love for you!

Friends are Like Angels!!!!

Our friends are like angels,
Who brighten our days
In all kinds of wonderful,
Magical ways.

Their thoughtfulness comes,
As a gift from above,
And we feel we're surrounded,
By warm, caring love.

Like upside-down rainbows,
Their smiles bring the sun,
And they fill ho-hum moments,
With laughter and fun.

Friends are like angels,
Without any wings.
Blessing our lives
,With the most precious things.
